Jenny Kemp - BioAlways dreaming of become an artist, Jenny grew up in small towns across Wisconsin drawing everything in her path. She received her BS in Art with an emphasis in Drawing from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She was a member of the Wisconsin Union Directorate Art committee displaying her work throughout galleries on campus and was accepted into the University's 74th Annual Juried Student Art Show in 2002. Post graduation, Jenny moved to Denver and while working as a graphic designer, exhibited her artwork throughout the city specifically at Ground Works Gallery, ism Gallery, St. Marks Gallery. She was accepted into Core Art Spaces' juried art exhibition Go Figure in 2004. In 2005 Jenny moved to Seattle and continues to exhibit in galleries throughout Seattle, specifically Oasis Art Gallery, 66 Bell Lofts, and Gallery 110 – where she is an artist member and board member. In 2008 she received 1st honorable mention in the 17th Annual Juried Art Exhibition at The Art Institute and Gallery in Salisbury Maryland and has had her work published in the magazines City Arts and LUXE. Also working as a graphic designer for an adventure travel company, Jenny travels around the globe to places like South America and Eastern Europe - and is inspired every step of the way. She also volunteers as a teaching assistant with local art organization, ArtsCorps. |
