Artist Application - NOW ACCEPTING

Gallery 110 is an artist run gallery which supports emerging artists. The gallery is dedicated to the presentation of high quality and challenging visual art and to the development and promotion of artists’ careers. Collectively, members share in the work of the gallery and have the opportunity to build on or share their skills in marketing, exhibition management and installation, development and arts event coordination.  Artists not local to the Seattle area telecommute as well as promote the gallery and cultivate opportunities for their fellow artists in other cities.

The gallery, recently accepted by the state as a nonprofit organization, is planning to move to 110 3rd Ave. South in January.

Gallery Membership includes:

*Opportunity to work with an experienced gallery director

*A commission structure of  70% payable to artists

*Opportunity to exhibit and sell your work

*Opportunity to display your work on our Website

*A gallery book with examples of your work in the gallery

* Opportunities for developing relationships with other emerging and professional artists

* Opportunities to develop relationships with commercial galleries and press

* Opportunities to curate shows and exhibit work in group and solo shows, and develop show proposals/traveling shows and opportunities off site.

* Opportunities to exhibit work along side well known artists from outside of the membership

* Opportunities to propose, curate and install exhibitions

* Opportunities to form and cultivate a client base

* Opportunities to participate in public programming, artist talks, and public events.

Artists propose exhibitions and there are several group shows throughout the year as well in addition to other outside opportunities that the artists themselves participate in developing. There is no set number of opportunities to show work at the gallery itself through the year.  The membership functions as a team  promoting each others work and creating cultivating opportunities. The commission structure is set up to benefit the artist in terms of sales made, and membership is a wonderful way to be a part of a network of artists represented by a very well respected and established gallery.  We do show work by other artists who are invited in as a part of a curated exhibition, or who have submitted a proposal which includes the work of one or more of our member artists.  These decisions are made by the exhibition committee three times per year. The dues and fee structure of the gallery is designed to cover all operating expenses.  Occasional gallery participation in gallery events and meetings is mandatory for artists living in the Northwest.
