Artist Member Application
New Collective Gallery Seeks 2008 Members Located in Seattle's premiere gallery district, historic Pioneer Square, this collective gallery is an artist run gallery which supports local Washington based emerging artists. The new gallery is dedicated to the presentation of high quality and challenging visual art and to the development and promotion of artists’ careers. Collective members share in the work of the gallery and have the opportunity to build on or share their skills in marketing, exhibition installation and professional presentation.
Gallery 110 is now seeking membership submissions.
Gallery Membership includes:
*Opportunity to work with an experienced gallery director
*A commission structure of 60% to artists
*Opportunity to exhibit and sell your work
*Opportunity to display your work on our Website
*A gallery book with examples of your work in the gallery
* Opportunities for developing relationships with emerging and professional artists
* Opportunities to develop relationships with a commercial gallery
* Opportunities to curate shows and exhibit work in group and solo shows
* Opportunities to exhibit work along side well known artists from outside of the collective
* Opportunities to write proposals, learn how to install exhibitions, and to learn the ins and outs of marketing and selling your work
* Opportunities to form and cultivate a circle of clients
The dues and fee structure of the gallery is designed to cover all operating expenses. The money from art sales left after paying out artist commissions will be divided among all gallery artists in good standing. The money may also be used for projects, equipment, advertising etc. Details are voted on by gallery artists. You must live in the Pacific Northwest as occasional gallery participation is mandatory.
Membership requires:
* 1 year commitment
* Monthly dues: $50 month
* Gallery sitting during exhibitions (Saturdays) in which you participate. Attendance at the majority of gallery events.
*Participation in curation, installation, marketing exhibitions.
*Participation on a committee of your choice.
* Rental of Gallery space during exhibitions you participate in:
Loft Gallery (upstairs) $100/month
Main Gallery $40 to 400 (solo show); amount depends on number of participating artists
To apply for membership, please send the following:
1. Disc or slides; 10 -12 images (in jpg format, 72 dpi, no larger than 1200 x 1200 pixels)
2. Image list including title, size, medium and date
3. Artist Resume
4. Artist Statement
5. Tell us why you are interested in being a member of Gallery 110 and also let us know the level of participation you will be available for.
6. SASE should you wish for your materials to be returned
